These early
Twentieth Century postcards show Santa Clara Valley when it was called
the Valley of Hearts Delight. In the 1950's, orchards still outnumbered
malls and parking lots.
Flowering
fruit trees blanket the valley floor in this stylized view from west to
east. Mount Hamilton's peak looms in the distance.
Rows of trees
blossoming pink and white filled the valley each Spring with a sweet perfume.
